Synopsis by Maggie Sadler
As digital technologies become increasingly pervasive in 21st-century living, mental and emotional wellbeing continues to plummet. Yet as Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, unveiled the first smartphone, an eccentric Austrian scientist purchased one of the last remaining Polaroid factories on the globe, seeking to spark a movement of preserving an analog existence. Using 35mm film, filmmaker Jens Meurer captures the significance of the tangible before it becomes lost in the digital age.
