Synopsis by Kimber Myers
Though famed doctor Albert Schweitzer was seen by many as an incredible humanitarian, his wife, Helen, saw him simply as human. This documdrama is told from her perspective, revealing the hardships she and her daughter endured in Europe while their husband and father was away in Africa. In addition to creating an intensely personal picture of Dr. Schweitzer, this biographical film also celebrates his work through interviews with family members and experts.
