Professional basketball player Paul Porter was at the top of his game when an injury forces him into retirement. Soon after accepting a leadership role at a university he experiences a life changing tragedy and loses the one thing that was close to him. Distraught over the tragedy, he is arrested and sentenced to community service at a youth facility. There he meets Russell Martin, the son of a single mother, who is torn between the dark influence of his older brother and the love for his mother. Paul sees a young version of himself in Russell and begins to mentor him. The intersection of their two lives creates a chain of events that will challenge their beliefs about fate, choice, and redemption.
