American writer/producer/director P.J. Wolfson was active in films from 1931 to 1948. Wolfson worked as a screenwriter at most of the big studios, including Warner Bros. (Picture Snatcher), MGM (Mad Love), and RKO Radio (Vivacious Lady). While at RKO, he produced the John Wayne vehicle Allegheny Uprising (1939) and functioned as both producer and director of the low-budget exposé feature Boy Slaves (1939). P. J. Wolfson moved to Paramount as a producer in the 1940s, where his output included Alan Ladd's Saigon (1947) and Betty Hutton's Dream Girl (1948).
