A tall, often mustachioed B-Western supporting player, Olin Francis actually starred in a couple of inexpensive oaters at the very beginning of his 1920-1941 screen career, including A Knight of the West (1921), a humorous oater about a bashful cowpoke turned fearless crime fighter. More often than not, the pudgy Francis played henchmen, members of the posse, or deputies.
