• Father David Mamet gave her plays to read in middle school by authors such as Arthur Miller and Terence Rattigan, though never his own.  Was encouraged by her parents, especially her father, to drop out of school, which she did at age 16 to pursue her career. Made debut as a playwright in 2012 at age 17, with two one-act plays in which she also starred, Paris and The Solvit Kids, produced at the Ruskin Group Theatre in Santa Monica, CA. Wrote Paris in 2011 while working in New York as a production assistant on an HBO film about music producer Phil Spector, written and directed by her father. Cowrote The Solvit Kids with Jack Quaid, son of Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan.
