In the second half of the two-part "The Phalanx Covenant," the good news is that Beast and Forge have been rescued from the voracious Phalanx. The bad news is that their savior is their sworn enemy, Mr. Sinister. Stranger still, another longtime X-Men opponent, the volatile Magneto, joins forces with Beast, Forge and Sinister to save the world from Phalanx's instatiable appetite. In this episode, "in the belly of the beast" is not a mere figure of speech.
