Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Teodora Ana Mihai's documentary Waiting for August focuses on the lives of seven brothers and sisters who must live without their parents in Romania. In order to provide financially, their single mother has taken a job in Italy for the summer, forcing fifteen-year-old Georgiana to become the matriarch of the clan. She deals with new responsibilities, and helps her siblings face unexpected challenges and trials.
