Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Tobi Baumann's nutty comedy Vollidiot follows the trials and travails of Simon Peters, a phone salesman with a serious self-image problemd who teeters on the brink of his thirtieth birthday and is perpetually, hopelessly single - with seemingly no romantic light at the end of the tunnel. Sinking rapidly into desperation, he tries everything he can think of to find a girlfriend - his Croatian cleaning woman even fixes him up with a prospective candidate - but every attempt ends in disaster. Then, suddenly, Simon grows infatuated with a Hispanic girl working in a local café - only he can't quite drum up enough nerve to approach her.
