Review by Buzz McClain

This is the second of two B-thrillers starring Eric Roberts and Rachel Hunter, the other being Two Shades of Blue. Other than the casting, the only thing the films have in common is Roberts as a psychotic villain. This time out he's got weird dreadlocks and a very strange Southern accent, and his creepy bad guy enjoys threatening two little kids with an ice pick. John Ritter's role calls for him to be an Everyman put into an extraordinary situation but, unlike say Kurt Russell in Breakdown, Ritter never does anything remotely heroic until the final confrontation. Hunter's presence, on the other hand, begs the question: If you've got a former supermodel in the cast, why have her spend the film with her face covered with tape? Roberts' over-the-top characterization is the highlight of an otherwise basic family-in-peril thriller.
