Synopsis by Hal Erickson
In this 33rd episode of his popular PBS travel series, Rick Steves ushers the viewer into Milan, the financial center of modern-day Italy. Though daily details are sophisticated and time-controlled in Milan, relaxation is but a few short miles away at Lake Como. Here, he strolls past some of Italy's most famous and impressive villas, and spends quality time in lovely picturesque villages where motor traffic is a virtually unknown quantity. Among the Italian lake communities visited by Rick are Varenna, Bellagio, and Punta Spartivento.
