Synopsis by Augustine Chay
Director Martha Stephens’s poignant coming-of-age drama takes place in a conservative small town in 1960s Oklahoma. Starring Kara Hayward, Liana Liberato, Jordana Spiro, and Malin Akerman, it follows a life-changing friendship between Iris, an introverted social outcast, and Maggie, the worldly and charismatic new girl at school. Maggie helps Iris out of her shell, but Iris begins to suspect that her friend has secrets to hide.
