Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Patsy Ruth Miller and Lou Tellegen star in this society drama. John Dawson (Tellegen) is suspicious of the motives of young widow Angelique Dean (Miller). Angelique is involved with John's brother, Bob (Walter Miller), and she is curiously chummy with society hanger-on Chapman Griswold (Coit Albertson). When John tries to urge Angelique to give up Bob, he falls in love with her himself and winds up proposing. Bob reveals that Angelique never was married, and John is ready to harshly judge her. The truth finally comes out: Angelique was lured into a mock marriage with a British officer during the World War. Not only that, she had met and nursed John when he was temporarily blinded. Griswold is aware of Angelique's fake marriage and when he tries to force himself on her, John gives him a sound thrashing. With Angelique's good nature confirmed, John marries her.
