Written and directed by Kerem Sanga, this drama revolves around an unlikely encounter between two people: high school senior Cassie (Grace Van Patten) who’s a white middle-class teen, and a Black man six years her senior named Daniel (Jovan Adepo) who’s trying to get a fresh start after being legally derailed during his youth. They try to navigate the obvious hardships that come attached with their respective life statuses, in the process trying to overcome their personal hardships and challenges to snatch a chance at tenderness and romance.
