Future action autuer John Woo spins this critically panned comedy roughly based on Neil Simon's The Sunshine Boys. The film centers around Ku Ren (Sun Yueh) and Shen Bien (David Tao Tai-wai), two aging comedians who ruled the airwaves only to split in the mid-'60s on less than friendly terms. In the present, Ku is appearing on a telethon that is raising money for crippled children. He learns that the organizers of the event have planned a surprise reunion with his former partner. Ku and Shen meet before the telethon, quickly rekindling their long simmering animosity. Further problems develop when Ku's long-lost love child introduces herself and Shen is diagnosed with a nasty heart disease. Just when the meeting seems all but impossible, Shen's crafty son intervenes.
