Terry Jastrow's The Squeeze centers on a gambler who takes a talented young golfer under his wing. Convincing the gifted duffer to abandon his dream of being the best in his sport, the gambler enters the golfer in a series of big-money one-on-one matches. Eventually, however, the stakes become greater than either of them ever imagined.
