Synopsis by Olivia Cantor
This anthology film follows the narrative of one central character but is cut up into various segments directed separately by Gia Coppola, Ken Jeong, Alex Takacs, Xan Cassavetes, Julian Acosta, Ryan Heffington, Boma Iluma, and Gillian Jacobs. The story follows Jane (Gillian Jacobs), an actress living in Los Angeles as a single mother. It’s summer, and she drops off her child at a Malibu summer camp. In her week of solitary existence, she undergoes surreal experiences. During these episodic encounters, Jane meets strangers and ex-lovers and discovers or rediscovers facets of her existence.
