Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Award-winning filmmaker Molly Dineen uncovers the unsettling agricultural practices, government bureaucracy, and deep injustices evident in the contemporary farming industry in this documentary that explores the effect of increased globalization on the rural working man by following three farmers as they carry out their day-to-day routines. In order to better understand the complex and precarious economic relationship between the farmers and hunters - as well as the unexpected fallout that occurs as a result of animal rights protests - Dineen focuses her lens on the controversial sport of fox hunting. The slaughter of animals due solely to lack of market value forces consumers to consider the consequences of their wasteful lifestyles, while the investigation into the devastating effects of globalization on the typical English farmer highlights the ways in which countries across the globe seem to be shifting away from locally produced food products.
