An annual gathering of old friends turns sour when a core member of the group vanishes without a trace, prompting his girlfriend and best friend to wonder whether their romantic secret is to blame for the mysterious disappearance. Back in high school, ten friends made a pact to come together every New Year's Eve. They called themselves "The Fools and Bastards Club," and over the past eight years their annual tradition evolved into a sacred tradition. But this year is different, because a key member of "The Fools and Bastards Club" has gone missing, leaving his girlfriend Penny and his best friend William to attend the party in his place. No one in the group quite knows what to make of the inexplicable absence, and while some of the participants suspect the worst, others continue to party despite the ominous specter of doubt that looms heavy over their heads. As tempers flare it quickly becomes apparent that this may be the group's final gathering. But Penny and William have a secret that they suspect is directly tied to their friend's disappearance, and their willingness to finally reveal the truth may prove the key to keeping the tradition alive.
