Synopsis by Jack Rodgers
A young man returns home to identify his estranged mother's corpse in this omnibus film, which consists of seven vignettes based on short stories by Robert Boswell. Executive produced by James Franco, The Heyday of the Insensitive Bastards was directed by a team of MFA students at UCLA during a class Franco taught there in 2012. Franco, Kate Mara, Natalie Portman, Rico Rodriguez, Abigail Spencer, Amber Tamblyn, Thomas Mann, Kristen Wiig, Matthew Modine, Tony Cox, Jimmy Kimmel, and Keir Gilchrist star.
