Synopsis by Nathan Southern
As helmed by Barbara Parise-Browton, The Edict: A Documental! visits a piece of surrealist theater-cum-performance art that transpired at the Masonic Hall in St Leonards-On-Sea, East Sussex, England, on December 8, 2007. That evening, an ensemble of participants launched a hallucinatory stage show with a combination of exotic costumes, dance, lively music and free-form ideological expression. The original production lasted a whopping five hours; Paris-Browton filmed the event but edited it down to around an hour of highlights for this program.
