Synopsis by Clare Perez-Izaguirre Lopez
It’s the roaring 20’s and Louise (Haley Lu Richardson) is caught up in the excitement of the jazz era, a 15-year-old budding dancer based in Kansas, who is invited to New York to take on a summertime program at an esteemed dance academy. Requiring a chaperone, she is paired with straight-laced society matron Norma Carlisle (Elizabeth McGovern). However, Norma has her own reasons for going to New York, reasons soon to be revealed. Based on the novel of the same name by Laura Moriarty. Directed by Michael Engler.
