Synopsis by Augustine Chay
Director Ebs Burnough’s documentary immerses viewers into the larger-than-life personality of American author and legendary socialite Truman Capote. Its main focus is the years between the 1966 publication of “In Cold Blood” and the public’s first glimpse of his long-awaited magnum opus "Answered Prayers" in 1975. By using archival footage, on-camera interviews, and animation, it explores how Capote’s extra-literary antics ultimately overshadowed his art.
