Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

A devoted Beetlemaniac traces the unique history of his beloved Volkswagen in this affectionate, auto-centric documentary from director Yishai Orian. While some may deride the iconic vehicle for its rough ride, puny motor, and questionable history (Hitler himself once dubbed the VW Beetle the, "car for the masses"), there's absolutely no denying the fact that it went on to become the most produced vehicle of a single design in automotive history. Orian loves his Beetle, yet the forty year-old car has seen better days and now his pregnant wife is pleading for it to be scrapped. As Orian attempts to muster the courage needed to finally let go of the past, the viewer follows him out on the road as he speaks with the car's previous owners and comes to understand the impact that it has had on their lives - all the while debating whether to repair the car or sell it in accordance with his wife's wishes.
