Synopsis by Maggie Sadler
In 1917, civil unrest begins to upend the city of Houston. When tensions boil over to full-fledged riots, the United States government deploys its Twenty-Fourth Infantry Regiment to quell the violence. Yet the regiment, made entirely of African-American soldiers, soon begins to question their role in suppressing the riots while remaining cognizant of the racial undercurrents of the violence. Based on true events. Co-written and directed by Kevin Willmott. Trai Byers, Bashir Salahuddin, Aja Naomi King, and Thomas Haden Church co-star.
