Review by Fred Beldin

"If the following story seems to be a true one, it is because art mirrors life. Tanya, we gotcha...." The makers of this low-impact skin flick take a cynical, exploitative look at the Patty Hearst case, in some cases not even bothering to change the names of their "fictional" characters (though nearly everyone in the cast and crew sports whimsical pseudonyms to protect their own anonymity). It's a mostly dull affair packed with lame jokes and unerotic simulated couplings, with all of the action contained to a single set decorated with Che Guevara posters and appropriately "revolutionary" graffiti. Tanya is only of interest to sexploitation completists, who will enjoy the massive afro hairdos and authentic period slang, though it's second-tier viewing even for diehards.
