Synopsis by Hal Erickson

The Bronx studios of Biograph pictures were transformed to the drawing rooms of 18th-century Europe in this rare comedy from D.W.Griffith. Feeling neglected by her husband, a young wife enlists her best girlfriend in a scheme to rekindle hubby's passion. Dressing up in male drag, the girlfriend pretends to be the wife's young lover. The outraged husband immediately challenges his "rival" to a duel, a plot twist taken right out of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. All ends happily in this clever little romp, in which Griffith "stalwart" Arthur V. Johnson essayed the principal male role.
