Originally telecast live from CBS Television City on December 17, 2006, the climactic "reunion" episode of Survivor: Cook Islands serves not only to bring the 20 original contestants back together, but also to determine which of the three finalists--Ozzy Lusth, Becky Lee or Yul Kwon--will be chosen as Sole Survivor. Rather than reveal the winner herein, it can be noted that the person in question is the first of his/her ethnic group to earn this honor in Survivor history. No sooner has the announcement been made than series host Jeff Probst steps forward to invite the viewers to tune into Season Fourteen of Survivor, to take place in the Fiji Islands--and as is his habit, Probst offers tantalizing clues as to the surprises in store.
