After stealing a dog from its abusive owner, a 12-year-old boy named Freddie discovers the canine's talent on the racetrack. When Freddie's original owner discovers his dog's whereabouts, Freddie sees the Danish dog racing track as his best chance to raise the money needed to buy the dog fair and square.
