Lena (Sandra Drzymalska) is set on selling her daughter once she comes out of her womb. Interested buyers Fabio (Bruno Buzzi) and Bianca (Barbara Ronchi), a couple who couldn’t conceive a child of their own, ask Ermanno (Claudio Segaluscio) for help in staging an intricate act that would let them adopt Lena’s baby legally. Ermanno agrees, and he becomes Lena’s husband until she gives birth. Despite being detached at first, the two grow closer to each other as the months go by. Then, when the baby is born, they realize that they are already too deep into their act. Directed by Carlo Sironi.
