This Spanish survival thriller is an adaptation of Pablo Vierci's book, an account of the ill-fated flight of Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 in 1972. Aboard the plane that crashed on the snowy Andes mountains was the Old Christians Club rugby union team, including some of their friends, families, and supporters. Of the 45 passengers onboard, only 16 survived after 72 days of being stranded before their rescue. This film narrates their perseverance and travails.
