Synopsis by Olivia Cantor
Written and directed by Karan Malhotra, this Indian period epic drama is set in 1871, when India was still under the British Empire's rule. Ranbir Kapoor portrays the dual role of Balli and Shamshera, with the latter believed to be the identified hero that will help the dacoit tribe fight for their freedom and independence. Even if it looks impossible to thwart their British colonizers, Shamshera believes a triumph is at hand as he inspires his fellow tribespeople to stand against oppression. Co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor.
