With a trio of minor Hollywood players, a few ramshackle sets, and the glorious Canadian wilderness, Northern Films Ltd. produced an action programmer no worse than the standard low-budget efforts coming from California. Crooner Nick Stuart and the husband-and-wife team of Lucille Browne and James Flavin, the latter playing the villain for a change, perform adequately, but the Canadian supporting players are mostly way over the top. Stuart and Browne remained in Canada for the Northwest programmer The Fighting Playboy, released in 1937.
