Willie Davis (Sterling K. Brown) works as the local high school's janitor, existing in the background of the school's day-to-day activities. However, when the school's basketball program runs aground, Davis decides to take up the mantle as the team's coach and mentor the struggling athletes in the program. By instilling study, worship, and discipline into the team, Davis inspires the athletes to improve their skills, ultimately bringing them to the state championship game. Directed by Kevin Rodney Sullivan, this film is based on a true story.
