Respect the Jux, directed by Ganaga Goba, tells the tale of a young man who moves to the United States to chase the American dream. His mother had left him in Jamaica when he was eleven to pursue her own dream. Now, six years later, he has joined her. Struggling, he forms a gang like the one he was in back home, turning criminal to achieve the goal. But a botched robbery sees him fleeing to Florida and summoning help from his old gang in hopes of surviving.
