Katie Holmes stars in and directs this film adaptation of Kathleen Tessaro’s historical fiction novel of the same title. The story follows a young woman burdened with life hardships due to bad economic times and engaging with people with reckless behavior. As a way to rebuild her life anew, she gets a job in a quaint antique shop in New York City. The store’s owners encourage her to be her best, which she appreciates and embraces. However, she reencounters people from her past, which may also lead her back to revisiting her trauma. The drama co-stars Jimi Stanton and Derek Luke.
