Their Bible study group quickly attracted an unprecedented response from others across America struggling with a similar conflict. Yet upon founding the Exodus International organization, they continued to experience same-sex attraction. Decades later, the former leaders of the movement grapple with the fallout of their initiative as survivors of conversion therapy discuss the mental and emotional duress they have experienced.
