Directed with speed and economy, this 60 minute action melodrama features one of the best villains in B-Movie history, the redoubtable Roy Barcroft. By all accounts a pleasant individual off-screen, Barcroft was legendarily contemptible once the director had yelled "roll 'em!" This time, Barcroft almost got the best of Allan Lane, stabbing the hero viciously in the shoulder in the most cowardly way during their final skirmish. Using only one hand, Lane (or his double Eddie Parker) still managed to subdue the nasty Mr. Barcroft for the ubiquitous happy ending. But for a while it was touch and go!
