At one point in time, The Band was considered as one of the most powerful bands in the entire world, defining Americana and influencing future generations of musicians. In Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and The Band, director Daniel Roher tells the story of Robbie Robertson, and how he, along with his four other bandmates, became brothers through music. The documentary film features archival footage, music, and interviews with notable figures in music and in Robertson’s life, such as Dominique Robertson, Ronnie Hawkins, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, and Martin Scorsese.
