After 20 years of being together and numerous extramarital affairs, glamorous college professor Maria (Chiara Mastroianni) finally decides to leave her husband Richard (Benjamin Biolay). She moves to a hotel room across the street from their marital abode in order to assess her marriage with Richard, and whether she has made the right decision. During that process, she interacts with a younger version of Richard, Richard’s past lover, her dead mother, and grandmother. This film is written and directed by Christophe Honoré.
