This program documents the efforts of the Long Island town of Patchogue to address the underlying causes for a fatal 2008 hate-crime attack on Ecuardorian immigrant Marcelo Lucero by a group of teen. The documentary, which was filmed over a two-year period, features the town's mayor, Paul Pontieri; the victim's brother, Joselo Lucero; and community leaders, residents and students. Alfre Woodard narrates.
