Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Oren Jacoby's documentary My Italian Secret: The Forgotten Heroes tells of the heroic efforts made by certain Italians to help Jewish citizens of their county stay safe during the Nazi's rise to power. Among the historical figures profiled are champion cyclist Gino Bartali, who rode all over the country delivering fake legal papers that would help people escape, and a brave doctor who would keep potential victims of the Third Reich stashed in various hospitals.
