In Colorado, odd couple Laura (Marguerite Moreau) and Ted (David Sullivan) try to have good times amidst strange interactions with quirky people, namely Laura’s odd family. But when she dies of an accident, Ted is devastated. Laura’s family wants to bury her ashes in a strange ritual. Ted suddenly starts seeing Laura’s ghost and has conversations with her. Upon the urging of Laura’s ghost, Ted steals her ashes and travels to Chicago to have them laid to rest somewhere in The Field Museum of Natural History. However, Laura’s family chases him.
