Synopsis by Jennifer Lackman
This documentary chronicles Matthew Stoneman also known as Mateo as he attempts to become a successful mariachi singer. Mateo clearly doesn't fit the mold of a typical Mexican musician-he's a white guy with strawberry blonde hair from New England, but he learned how to sing in fluent Spanish while serving time in an L.A. prison for robbery. He travels to Cuba to record at cheap studios and enjoys the sunny weather and beautiful women as he takes a shot at launching his recording career. Directed by Aaron I. Naar.
