Synopsis by Cammila Collar
This program takes a look at the life of the first African American president of the United States, Barack Obama. Tracing back the events that put him in the White House just 40 years after the Supreme Court ruled racial segregation as unconstitutional, the film examines not just the accomplishments of President Obama, but of those in the nation as a whole, who worked for the social and political change to make his ascent to the Oval Office possible.
