Lorissa McComas steals the show with a routine in a baby-doll nightie which could scorch the viewer's VCR, and there are readings from such works as +Romeo and Juliet, +Hamlet, +Timon of Athens, +Othello, and +The Merry Wives of Windsor in director Michael Fox's fun softcore mockumentary Live Nude Shakespeare. Being that Shakespeare was the master of prurient double-entendre, the quoted selections are a perfect accompaniment to the naughty proceedings. The best part of this film, however, just might be the soundtrack, with unorthodox but terrific music from bands like Soft Cactus, Heavy Weather, and Java Men. The highlight is the Modulators' rendition of "When Both Hands Hit the 12," one of those songs designed to hum for weeks afterward. With broad, funny comedy, sexy women, and knowing digs at pretentious theatrical "artistes," this is one of the most entertaining T & A pictures of its time, the Waiting for Guffman of exploitation films.
