It is October 1970 and the Front de libération du Québec has decided to kidnap Pierre Laporte, Quebec’s labor minister, creating an unprecedented crisis in the region. Les Rose is a documentary that focuses on this incident, particularly the involvement of brothers Paul and Jacques Rose, father and uncle of director Félix Rose. Through rare archival materials and never-before-seen intimate interviews, the film provides context to this pivotal event in Quebec’s history.
