An ordinary workday is suddenly filled with bitter conflict in this drama from director Topaz Adizes. Sam lives in Laredo, a Texas town not far from the Mexican border, and he works as a repairman for a local telephone company. The company has hired a new employee, and Sam is supposed to train him for his new job fixing public phones, but when he meets Juan, Sam is immediately suspicious. As the day wears on, Sam becomes convinced that Juan is an undocumented alien, but isn't sure what he's supposed to do about it. Is Sam motivated by racial prejudice or common sense? Laredo, Texas was an official selection at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
