Synopsis by Paola Diego
Set in the summer of 1959, Lisa is a shy schoolgirl who takes a job at the Sydney department store, Goode’s. While in the middle of women's liberations and the impact of European immigration in Australia, Lisa (Angourie Rice) meets the “Ladies in Black,” a group of women that change her life forever. By meeting her fellow sales ladies Patty ( Alison McGir) and Fay (Rachael Taylor), Lisa starts to grow from a shy girl to a glamorous and bright young woman and also becomes a person of impact in the lives of others around her.
