Synopsis by Nathan Southern

For most of his life, onetime Buffalo Bills receiver Justin Armour had never glimpsed a skatepark, let alone planned to build one. Nevertheless, this was about to change. Having retired from the Bills, Armour took a year-long sabbatical from his post-NFL sales job and embarked on a twelve-month vacation in Mexico, wife in tow. At about the same time, skatepark entrepreneur Geth Noble hit Baja on a surfing expedition, happened to encounter the Armours, and promptly convinced Justin to pour most of his year's salary into the construction of a new skatepark, KM64, amid a Mexican chili field. David Keating's nonfiction opus KM64: Birth of a Skatepark both documents the conception and establishment of this unique venue at the hands of Noble and Armour, and features extensive skating and surfing sequences of athletes in mid-ride.
